Description | The atmospheric-pressure plasma technology based on a diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge was tested for surface treatments of aluminium, carbon-steel, silicon, glass and various polymer materials. An exposure time of several seconds was sufficient for significant improvement of surface wettability and adhesion of most materials. Optimized treatment conditions were then applied to industrial and in-line testing of material treatment by this type of dielectric barrier discharge. |
