| Description | The article is focused on J. A. Komenský in the work of F. X. Šalda. Komenský wasn’t the key theme of Šalda’s monumental work. Nevertheless, the Czech critic was interested in Komenský’s work and he wrote several important articles about him. This study shows what was Šalda’s way to see Komenský and what part of Komenský’s legacy he found relevant, especially for the new Czechoslovakian state and its ideology. Therefore, special attention is given to Šalda’s view on connection between Komenský a Masaryk. |
