Description | Vít Ondráček entered the art scene in 1978 in Brno, or, due to his disagreement with the then ruling system, came it's an unofficial part. Influenced by the artists of the Chatrnýs brothers, he began to experiment intensively with all art practices - he devoted himself to painting, graphics and drawing and their combinations. At the same time, he organised his first exhibitions, exclusively outside classical exhibition spaces. He also wrote written poems and short stories and made short experimental films. The alternative way of life has survived even after 1989 - since the mid-1990s he has been developing a holistic artistic concept in Kunštát na Moravě in the building of the former town jail, which blends nature, art and life, literary and visual realisation. He has prepared many solo exhibitions and participated in many collective exhibitions, with Jaromír Typlt and Ludvík Kundera commenting on his work. He prepares exhibitions for experimentally oriented artists outside the main art centres. The catalogue for the exhibition in the Museum of the Region of Boskovice represents a selection of cycles realised after 1990. |
