| Description | The international workshop "Roma aurea MMXIX: Structures of Historical Narrative" was organized by the Institute of Greek and Latin Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University and the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with the Masaryk University Language Centre. This two-day colloquium, held on the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of Livy´s death, was devoted to the role of various structural means in ancient historical narratives, specifically in shaping readers´ understanding of "historical reality". Ten papers were presented by scholars from the Czech Republic, Germany, and Argentine. |
