Description | The aim of the research is to find out how the ability of pre-school children to reproduce a narrative develops and how this ability is related to the ability to reproduce sentences (OPAV test) and to the range of receptive vocabulary (TRS test). In two data collections (after two months), 60 respondents will repeat the presented stories that are specially designed to offer a repetition of an advanced narrative phenomenon (use of adjectives, anaphores, possessive pronouns, cognitive verbs, direct speech, and more complex sentence structures). In addition, respondents will be tested by standardized TRS and OPAV (Smolík, Bláhová & Bartoš, 2019). Mutual correlations will be sought between the obtained variables. The data will be collected in April and June. A positive correlation between OPAV results and total length of reproduced stories and a positive correlation between OPAV results and the repetition rate of more complex sentence structures can be expected. |
