| Description | The goal of the book was to introduce the development of the coat of arms and flags of Brno and its 29 municipal districts. Those symbols developed mainly from seals. The first part of the book introduces the whole issues and then focused on the heraldry of the municipal districts of the cities in the Czech republic. The second part of the publication is aimed to the seal, coat of arms and flag of Brno, after that the symbols of the municipal districts of Brno. The local authority cooperated with Pracovní skupina pro městské symboly, which had worked as a commission of the Brno city council since 1991. The book was made not only for wide public readers, but also for the local authority, to work with their own symbols. |
