Description | Dietary preferences and eating habits are factors that can influence the development of dental caries. Some phenotypes of taste preferences have a simple monogenic inheritance, while most others are subject to a complex genetic structure. The aim of this study was to determine selected variants in genes involved in taste perception (glucose transporter - GLUT, carbonic anhydrase - CA, sweet and bitter taste receptors - TASR) and to analyze the results in context with the dentition status of dental students (ZL) and their dietary and taste preferences. |
