| Description | The paper analyzes in the form of discourse analysis according to James Paul Gee and using the terminology of discourse mechanisms and strategies of John B. Thompson one single poem by the prominent Czech poet Jiří Mahen, published in Lidové noviny on October 30, 1918. In the poem J. Mahen the new state in the context of Central Europe, defines its defensive goals and attributes its social, political and ethnic meanings. |
