Description | Much has been written about responsibility in recent decades. It has become an important element of various ethical concepts. The notion of responsibility confers considerable conjunctures, although its semantics are increasingly inaccurate and the whole discourse of responsibility is somewhat confusing. The lack of clarity results from different semantics, different contexts and the diversity of disciplines in which discourses of responsibility take place. Perhaps none of the treatises on accountability triggered such intense debate and had no influence as the Principle of Responsibility of the Jewish philosopher Hans Jonas, first published in 1979.431 His Principle of Responsibility soon became a "philosophical bestseller". |
