| Description | The landscape of pre-Carpathian Western Ukraine is drab at first glance, but it actually hosts a diverse nature, including well-preserved steppe grasslands. Our research has shown that local steppes are very similar to the Central European dry grasslands, that on the northern slopes of the steppe hills species-rich communities related to the White Carpathian meadows occur or that burning is a suitable tool for the management of this vegetation. |
