| Description | The lecture was created for the Spring Art History Course organized by the Moravian Gallery in Brno, which is intended for the general public. First, the genre of landscape painting was introduced and then its reception in the Czech lands in the 19th century at the Academy (especially Mařák's landscape special). This was followed by an overview of Kalvoda's life and an analysis of his work (school years, Křivoklát period and Běhařov), and finally the work of Kalvoda's most important pupils was included. |
