Description | The effect of non-thermal plasma on composite precursor nanofibers (NF's) was studied for application by preparation of nickel zinc ferrite NF's as an alternative to conventional annealing. The composite metal nitrates/polyvinyl alcohol NF's prepared by electrospinning were exposed to atmospheric pressure plasma generated by Diffuse Coplanar Surface Barrier Discharge in ambient air for 1-30 minutes. The changes in chemical bonds were studied by ATR-FTIR analysis. The chemical composition before and after plasma treatment was characterized using EDX. The influence of plasma on fibers morphology was observed by SEM. |
