| Description | During his life Ondřej Sekora worked as a sports journalist, sports organizer companies and ski tours, promoter of new sports, coach, referee, official in journalistic and rugby associations, popularizer of movement and sport in the Children's Corner newspapers, in children's books of his own and other authors, which he illustrated. Especially in the twenties In the 1930s, sports journalism was one of his most important activities. Thanks to my he was able to make the visual component an equal part of his sport at the same time, in his texts he was able from the beginning to be able to look up and abbreviate. Its mobility and the shot is admirable even after 90 years - it was not limited to Brno, Moravia, Czechoslovakia or Central Europe and went to other European countries for athletes. As a rapporteur and the commentator covered top sports events - the Olympic Games and the World Cup. He met France and Paris best, and took the long route of the Tour de France and his drawings were published by French sports periodicals. Thanks to Sekor's versatility and diligence, his work in the field of sports journalism has had a number of overlaps. Of these, perhaps his most important part, and the most mentioned, is his share of the launch rugby on the Czechoslovak sports scene. The success of this effort testifies to Sekor's extraordinary organizational talent, but also to a certain quittering with which he has responded to new challenges. |
