Description The theory of holistic and analytic cognitive style is currently one of the most prominent theories with the ambition to describe and explain cross-cultural differences in perception and cognition. This paper is focused on four newly adapted methods of cognitive style measurement trying to establish convergent validity of these methods with already validated method E-CSA-W/A that is based on a commonly used methods Cognitive style analysis (CSA) and Embedded Figures test (EFT). The methods we are trying to validate are based on Navon hierarchical figures and Framed-line-test (FLT) that are also commonly used in cross-cultural cognitive style research. This analysis is preliminary, and it was conducted on a smaller sample of Czech participants. The data are analyzed using a correlational analysis of the used tests trying to reveal the validity for the theory of holistic and analytic cognitive style.
