| Description | The Lagodekhi National Park (245 km2) protects the nature of the Greater Caucasus in northeastern Georgia. Its flora has ca 1100 vascular plant species. Altitudinal forest zones involve Carpinus orientalis forests, oak-hornbeam forests, Fagus orientalis forests and stands of Betula litwinowii and Acer trautveteri. Ravine forests with Acer velutinum and Tilia begoniifolia and riverine alder forests are azonal communities. |
