Description The article focuses on the Five-Day War, which took place between Georgia and the Russian Federation in August 2008. This war provides the first example of use of cyber-attacks during a conventional military engagement. The authors focus on linking the two operational domains. The first part of the article provides the methodological and theoretical basis and is followed by an analysis of cyber-attacks in the conflict and their implications based on the historical context and immediate events following the conflict. In the concluding section, an adaptation of theconcept of conflict dynamics to cyberspace is presented.
