Description Orientation towards societal challenges requires broader cooperation between all sectors of society, resulting in creation and use of new types of public-private partnership. One of these instruments is social impact bond aimed at leveraging social impact. Its main aspects are clearly defined and measurable project goal and engagement of public, private and third sectors. The aim of the paper is to present the concept of social impact bond, as it has so far remained relatively unknown in Visegrád Group countries. By use of a case studies on social impact bonds launched in Finland and Austria the paper claims that, despite several perceived obstacles, it can be considered as a perspective tool for tackling specific social problems.
