Description | Prostitution is certainly not one of the safest ways to ensure the livelihood of its providers, as evidenced by the high incidence of various forms of violence acts, commited on persons in so-called „sex business“, particularly by their clients, but also by intermediaries and others. This perspective shows reprehensible aprroach of the Czech state, which on the one hand proclaims the effort to combat forced prostitution and human trafficking, but on the other hand resignates on formation of effective tools and means to protect sex workers from violence. The subject of this paper is consideration of the question whether future legalization and regulation of prostitution (especially as a form of dependent work) can effectively prevent violence in the sex business. |
