Description | Peter Schaffer' Eqqus is a major work of British drama. It adapts a story of psychiatrist Martin Dysart treating a young boy who brutally blinded several horses. With the help of theory Czech aesthetician Otakar Zich, the study analyzes staging and reception difficulties arisen by a scenic representation of the animal body and the ostension of the naked human body. The author compares the opinions of three theatre critics on recent production in London with his personal spectatorship experience. |
