Description | This paper presents a research methodology that can be used by therapists and researchers to study the effectiveness and change mechanisms of a therapeutic modality or case. First, we argue the importance of doing more research in Gestalt Therapy and the usefulness of this particular methodology. Then, we present the method in detail so any clinician can use it in her own clinical practice or as a part of a wider practice-based research network. Finally, we give examples of the efficacy study we conducted in Chile with anxiety clients, and newer process studies we are developing on polarities and change mechanisms for treating anxiety. |
