Description | This paper focuses on the current vulnerable situation of TA’s in the classroom and school and the ways that schools committed to inclusion cope with it. We explore the perspectives of practitioners on the teacher – TA cooperation in the classroom, overall position of TA’s in these schools, as well as the underlying policies that determine the playing field as reflected by the actors themselves. The focal point of analyses are the uncertainties surrounding responsibilities of TA and the power structures determining their position. Moreover, the paper looks at the ways that schools successful in inclusion take to deal with this situation. We base our findings on semi-structured interviews from schools identified as successful in implementing inclusive education and that had the vision of being inclusive facility before the 2016 reform. The topics of interviews covered personal views on inclusion, obstacles, challenges and good practice in inclusive education with emphasis on school/class climate. |
