"Nutrition in geriatrics and gerontology" set itself as a textbook for nutritionists of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Prague to put on the market a clear textbook on the nutrition of seniors and especially their disorders in various diseases. It is a work with regard to the discussed topic comparable in scope, content and form with foreign texts. Under the leadership of T.Vágnerová as the main author and with the cooperation of other co-authors, of which I must emphasize the role of prof. Topinková managed to provide readers with a very clear and at the same time comprehensive and didactic form of the necessary view of the issue of nutrition of seniors in the widest possible view, both in health and in disease. The book will undoubtedly be a benefit on the Czech healthcare market with its concept and orientation towards the senior population. |
