Description The technology for ink adhesion improvement of large-area printing on glass and polymer substrates used activation by atmospheric pressure plasma. A standard printing machine using ordinary ink was utilised by plasma source. The plasma source activated the area right before UV digital printing. Improved properties of large-area flat surfaces were achieved by homogeneous activation by low-temperature plasma. The plasma was generated by a freestanding plasma module with implemented DCSBD discharge unit. The DCSBD was moved contactless at a precise distance above the substrate.
