| Description | The collected texts present three thematically homogeneous sets and another one, more diverse. The first area to be addressed was the Portuguese lexicon spoken in Luso-African countries. The second set of texts focuses on the theme of the lexicon associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. In the third set there are two texts that document the trends in the use of language in different registers in Brazil (in parliamentary speeches and in the current vernacular spoken in the city of Itu). The last, fourth, set contains thematically diversified texts (analysis of the use of Polish/Polish words, the current situation of the attribution of proper names in Portugal, the semantic-lexical approach of frame single mother and its current equivalences in European Portuguese (PE) and Brazilian (PB), and the arabisms that are still used in contemporary communicative practices. |
