Description The study is concerned with the life and creative legacy of the music composer and theoretician Ludmila Ulehla Sokoloff (1923 – 2009). The study begins with a reflection on the possibilities of a global conception of music historiography at present. It also acquaints the reader in the biographical line with important milestones and life periods of the author. The following part is devoted to musical creation, which the text reflects chronologically, and especially with regard to the conceptual level of compositions. Subsequently, the preserved documents on contacts with Czechoslovakia are presented.
