Description The aim of the paper was to map the long-term effect of CBT-I, existing forms of CBT-I intervention and the treatment of comorbidities associated with sleep disorders. The presented work is an overview of the results of 47 studies, which were included on the basis of systematic selection and on the basis of keywords entered in the database EBSCO and SCOPUS in the period 2011-2021. The analysis of selected studies addressed the question of whether CBT-I intervention is an effective method for the treatment of insomnia in long-term follow-up. current research is lacking and where further research should be directed. The result of the paper is a summary of findings from the included valid empirical research. The most valid studies were found in the three-month follow-up of the long-term effects of CBT-I intervention, the Internet form of CBT-I intervention and comorbid depression. These studies have been described and compared in more detail. A summary of all validated studies may be of benefit to future research studies as well as to the future development of CBT-I interventions.
