Description | The ECtHR decided on 8. 4. 2021 a long awaited judgment in the case Vavřička and others v. the Czech Republic. The Grand Chamber ruled by a large majority (16:1) in favour of the Czech government and granted the state a large margin of appreciation. The ECtHR sent a clear signal that vaccination is one of the most successful and most efficient medical instruments and it stated that the Czech system of compulsory vaccination of children does not breach the applicants' rights granted by the European Convention. |
