Description | In this study, a hydrothermal route was employed to synthesize a three-dimensional (3D) porous graphene structure, named graphene foam (GF) for electrochemical hydrogen storage purposes. The synthesized graphene oxide (GO) and graphene foam were characterized by means of XRD, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy and FE-SEM. The electrochemical hydrogen storage properties of GF were evaluated using charge/discharge and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The obtained results indicated an outstanding electrochemical hydrogen storage performance for the fabricated porous architecture including both capacity and stability. The synthesized GF demonstrated discharge capacity of 321 mA.h/g at current of 0.01 mA (100 mA/g) at 6 M KOH solution. Also, after 100 cycles the capacity loss for the electrode is only 2.5% which indicates excellent stability of the synthesized material. |
