Description | Hope is a crucial factor for maintaining mental health and resilience in difficult times. The lecture summarized the main results of own long-term research within the international project Hope Barometer (2013-2021), which aims to reveal the sources and benefits of hope for mental health and quality of life in different groups of clinical and non-clinical populations. The findings were discussed in the context of contemporary psychology topics. We also presented effective methods and interventions based on various theoretical approaches (cognitive theory of hope, perceived hope), which are successfully used to increase hope in clients and patients. |
