| Description | The function of literature as a catalyst for political utopias has recently been the focus of literary scholars. The present article describes the activities of the pan-German oriented publishing house “Das Deutsche Haus” in Brno/Brünn (Czech Republic) as an example of the appropriation of literature for the purpose of disseminating utopian ideologies and places it in the context of the broader problematics discussing the questions of the relationship between art and politics, ideology and artistic freedom. |
