Description | The text deals with the compositional techniques of the composer, theorist and pedagogue Ctirad Kohoutek (1929–2011) in the period from the second half of the fifties to the mid-sixties. Kohoutek was first inspired by twelve-tone technique and serialism, followed by aleatoric and timbre music. The article describes both parallels and differences between Kohoutek’s conception of these techniques and the composers of the Second Viennese School, representatives of the Darmstadt ultra-avant-garde, representatives of Polish New Music, etc. |
