Description The presented study aimed to explore thematic areas related to develompment of movement skills, which could be important for parents, coaches, and teachers of preschool children. The main method of data collection was semi-structured interviews, which were literally transcribed and analysed by interpretative phenomenological analysis. The results pointed out the importance of the topic and revealed the factors that significantly affect movement development. The most important factors were the influence of the parents, activities in the preschool, the content of physical activities, the current lifestyle of society and involvement of relevant state authorities. Participants also offered recommendations that could have a positive impact on motor skill development. For example, they see the potential in improving communication among people caring for children; inclusion of systematic, regular and 67 appropriate physical training in the preschool curriculum and increasing interest and support from the state authorities.
