| Description | Chest pain is the most frequent symptom causing the contact of the patient with health service in 20 – 30 % There are usually several possible causes of chest pain to consider. This chapter presents actual approaches to differential diagnostics of four emergencies manifesting by acute chest pain - acute coronary syndrome, pulmonary embolism, aortic dissection and spontaneous pneumothorax with stressing of specifics of these situations in elderly. |
