Description | The research is focused on evaluating the effectiveness and safety of precision medicine procedures in patients with refractory or relapsed neuroblastoma. Due to this disease's rarity and extreme clinical and biological variability, it is necessary to treat these patients individually. Clinical results of 11 pediatric patients with relapsed or refractory neuroblastoma treated at the Clinic of Paediatric Oncology of the University Hospital Brno were processed. Based on a comprehensive analysis of tumor changes and its microenvironment, the possibility of targeted therapy on the present changes was first evaluated, and then it was assessed whether the proposed targeted therapy is available and suitable. Evaluation of the tumor response to targeted treatment was carried out according to RECIST criteria; the toxicity was evaluated using CTC criteria. |
