Description Imitation of Christ is considered to be the main point of Jesuit Christological Spirituality. Jesuits regularly used images of Christ’s life during formation of novices, missions or pilgrimages in order to instruct believers in Christian belief and convert their souls. Among Jesuits, efforts to imitate Christ was also inspired through images of the prominent Jesuit saints and scenes from their life. These are for example images of the Vision of Ignatius of Loyola at La Storta and the Death of Francis Xavier from the Jesuit Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Brno. The aim of this paper is to present aforementioned images within Jesuit Spirituality, religious praxis and perception inside and outside the Society of Jesus. In fact, both Images represent the true way to the principal idea of the Society of Jesus.
