Description | The diploma thesis deals with the level of physical activity of pupils in the second stage of primary school. The work consists of the theoreti-cal and practical parts. The work aims to verify whether the disease Covid-19 and the associated restrictive rules, on the physical condition of 6th and 7th-grade students at the time of restriction of sports activi-ties and then after the release of restrictions, to point out the im-portance of exercise in daily life and draw attention to the risks associ-ated with its deficiency. Primary school pupils have been most affected by the pandemic and are still affected. Pupils only teach online via a computer and cannot attend to their hobbies. The theoretical part of the thesis explains and describes the most im-portant concepts and facts related to the topic. The respondents of the research were pupils of the second grade of primary school in Šlapanice, specifically pupils of the 6th and 7th grades. Percentile graphs were used for the research, which is used to calculate the values of BMI (Body Mass Index) and abdominal circumference to body height. and activity - if they occur and if they have taken place in the last 6 months, frequency and duration of activity), the Step-Up Test (fitness index) was used and, last but not least, the students tried se-lected exercises from the Iowa-Brace test. Pupils calculated all meas-ured values independently. The practical part describes the results of physical activity of students. At the time of the reduction in sports cir-cles caused by the pandemic, more than half of the pupils who took part in the research interrupted their regular physical activity. As a result of these interruptions, these students experienced a lack of exercise and an associated increase in BMI and decreased performance. In the measurement, which took place during the operation of sports activi-ties, a significant number of students had a decrease in BMI and an in-crease in performance. Physical activity and movement are therefore an important and integral part of everyday life in humans. |
