| Description | This report presents the results of the 2022 Perception of Security and Crime Survey. The survey has been carried out in Brno at three-year intervals since 1996 on the basis of a resolution of the Municipal Council for Crime Prevention. The purpose of the survey is, as in previous years, to provide insight into subjective perceptions of crime and security, particularly in relation to public space. The study maps opinions concerning specific security problems and risk perception, and the assessment of the situation in urban areas. The research also includes questions on the opinion on the work of the police and the city council, opinions on the use of CCTV systems and other preventive measures. Data collection and evaluation was carried out in 2022 by the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno. This research was also part of the internship of sociology students who, under the supervision of research supervisors, participated significantly in the revision of the questionnaire, the development of the web interface for data collection, data collection and data processing. |
