| Description | Anaerobically grown cells of P. denitrificans were shown to contain haem O on the basis of HPLC and mass spectrometry analyses. Haem O may possibly function as a free intermediate in the haem A biosynthesis. It may also form a prosthetic group of a terminal oxidase formed under conditions of limited aeration in a manner similar to E.coli and other bacteria. |
