Description | The aim of the research, on which the preliminary analyses of the presented data are based, is to obtain detailed, multiple-source picture of what is happen- ing in the process of mentoring among university teachers and what its effects are. Data are obtained through cooperation with 3 pairs of teachers from Masaryk University in Brno by several data collection techniques (audio recordings of meetings, semi- structured interviews, unstructured observations and others). The main source of data presented in this paper are semi-structured interviews aimed at finding out expectations from mutual cooperationv and subsequent reflective interviews (separately with the mentor and the mentee). The results identify the demand that mentees bring to mentoring and a reflection on its fulfillment. At the same time, the results point to the benefits of mentoring for both mentors and mentees. |
