Description Test Anxiety represents an internationally recognised phenomenon involving emotional, physiological, cognitive and behavioural reaction to different test situations in which the pupil’s performance is being evaluated. The excess of TA can result in long-term decrease of pupil’s performance at school, lower grade a significant impact on pupil’s self-efficacy and well-being, as well as truancy. As regards Czech schools, the TA has not yet been widely tested and analysed. Our research thus aims at discovering the level of pupils’ TA in lower-secondary education and clarify the role of its determinants such as educational results, social anxiety, self-efficacy, class climate or demographic characteristics of respondents. For the purpose of follow-up research, the Children Test Anxiety Scale shall be adapted and tested on the population of Czech pupils. Since the data collection will take place in September 2022, the final shape of methodology, as tested by piloting, will be presented at the conference.
