| Description | The lecture will focus on the life stage of young old or late middle age. That is, the period of transition from economic activity to retirement. It is a period of life that until recently was referred to as "roleless role" but nowadays it seems that it can be a challenging period when men and women, in addition to their own economic position, deal with caring for their fragile parents and at the same time helping their children to care for their grandchildren. All of these important social roles will be addressed in this lecture, as well as their importance to the aging themselves.
