Description | The paper focuses on the current challenges facing all museums today. With the rise of the global pandemic covid-19 and the recent Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which has unusually strong emotional vibrations in the Czech Republic, the question of how the curator should deal with these new social orders is becoming more and more urgent. On the one hand, he is presenting collections that document the past and the present, but he is also suddenly a witness and direct participant of events, a process of far-reaching transformations of mechanisms that have been constant for centuries. One of these important mechanisms is to deal with the traditional conception of the museum as an institution that is limited only by the space and objects stored in it. Thanks to lockdown, activities outside the buildings have developed. The presentation should show examples of good practice of what such forms of communication with the public could look like. |
