| Description | This paper explores the use of colour symbolism, which can be a functional tool for activities leading to the analysis of literary works in the context of literary education in upper years of secondary education or lower years of tertiary education. It introduces the potential of sensory (in this case visual) perception of a literary work as a means of approaching and understanding of a given literary work. Based on the concept of colour symbolism, it illustrates the possibilities of application in a lesson concerned with the analysis of a literary work. The paper presents two selected canonical literary works, one work of prose and one work of poetry. |
