Description | This paper investigates the value of travel time (VTT) for long-distance railway passenger transport in the Czech Republic. The VTT is elicited using stated preference (SP) data from 232 respondents traveling on two main train routes in the Czech Republic, Brno-Prague and Brno-Ostrava, in 2017 and 2018, respectively. We estimate a median VTT of approximately 5 EUR/hour. This value is substantially lower than the values estimated for the Czech Republic from meta-studies based on data from other European countries, some of which are officially used for the assessment of transport projects in the Czech Republic. |
