| Description | The article deals with the issue of interpretation of Article 8 of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, which imposes an obligation on states to protect the rights to trade names in their territory without the necessity of filing or registering these lesignations, and other matters related to this issue. In particular, the author seeks to answer the question whether a State already fulfils the above-mentioned international obligation if it grants protection to the rights to trade names of foreign entrepreneurs in its territory on the basis of unfair competition law, or whether it must grant industrial law protection to the rights to trade names of foreign entrepreneurs in its territory. |
