Description In the years 1976–1988, the magazine Acta incognitorum was the internal media of the learned society Societas incognitorum eruditorum secunda (SIE), founded in 1976 by a group of friends around Petr Pavlovský. The society claimed the legacy of the first society of the name Societas incognitorum eruditorum in terris Austriacis, founded in Olomouc in 1746 by Josef Petrasch, which also at the time published its magazine – "Monatliche Auszüge alt- und neuer gelehrter Sachen", which was the first scientific magazine in the Habsburg Monarchy. Acta incognitorum represents one of the key periodicals of a hitherto uncharted type of samizdate literary production by the research community, the content of which was not only journalistic, essayistic or fictional work, but also, to a non-negligible extent, a reflection of the social life of the magazine's author circle. In the Acts, the column "Zprávy o činnosti" (Reports on activities) was used specifically for this, reserved for diary entries from joint trips, theater visits, meetings in the pub, etc. However, the magazine was also characterized by a markedly internal polemical character, i.e. as a space not only for polemics on published texts, but also for continuing personal debates. The authenticity and at the same time the non-transmissibility of such texts retroactively fixed the editorial community, in this case the SIE community, and the mutual ties between its members. The linear reading of individual numbers from beginning to end thus acquires formal, but also aesthetic qualities of narration, it is possible to supplement the narration of a serial.
