| Description | In our presentation, we dealt with the issue of resocialization and rehabilitation of convicted natural and legal persons as one of the topics in the mass media. The aim of the presentation was to analyze the frequency of such thematically tuned news in the Czech web (text) mass media in the past five years and also to make a comparison between how often the media deals with the issue of resocialization and rehabilitation of natural persons and how often they present the same topic regarding legal entities. Firstly, we presented the methodology used in the presentation, and right after that, we briefly defined the concepts of resocialization and rehabilitation. This was followed by a presentation of the fundamental differences in the list of punishments that are imposed on natural persons (offenders) and the list of those punishments that can be imposed on legal entities. After that, we paid attention to the selected media cases of convicted natural and legal persons, on which we illustrated the different approach of the media to the issue addressed by these two categories. |
