| Description | The requirement for sustainability made its way into various fields of life, and museology is not excluded. As the discourse of the 2022 Conference of the International Council of Museums stated, there are many types of sustainability based on disciplines at which we focus. Achieving true sustainability of collections in museums is hard to accomplish, especially when we are taking into the account economic sustainability of the museum institutions. The essay describes difficulties museums have to overcome in order to keep their institutions sustainable and improbability of creating a general guidline to do so. |
