| Description | The Municipal Museum of Letovice owns an absolutely unique collection of technical designs and drawings of net curtains and laces, and swatches of these laces. The entire file contains several hundered of these technical designs over a period of 95 years, the oldest being from 1892 and the latest being from 1987, and the lace swatches, covers the period from 1883 to present, 130 years of production of this assortment. This collection was donated to the museum by the management of Tylex Letovice, which is the oldest tulle and machine-made lace factory, which has been producing this assortment continuously for 190 years. The creation of a fully-fledged collection, interesting and accessible to professional and lay public, will be a great social and cultural benefit. |
