| Description | Antonín Škarka dealt with the topic of baroque mysticism repeatedly, both in his monograph on Michn's poetic work (Munich, 1968, Prague, 1985; before that in the Michn study from 1967), and, in the most detailed way, in his study Erós v spiritual song of the Czech Baroque (1968). In it, in addition to comparisons with the expression of mysticism in the work of Jan Amos Komenský, Felix Kadlinský and Fridrich Bridel, he also included the texts of Jan Liberda. In this context, Škarka defined - following the already well-known theological interpretation of the so-called Great Song - the given phenomenon as a "mystical-erotic" relationship of the human soul to Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary and various saints. At the same time, he duly drew attention to the fact that, from the point of view of the lyrical subject, it is realized equally from the position of a male and a female speaker in relation to a male and a female object. The aim of the contribution is to point out other nuances within the topic, namely a selection from various types of homiletic works and hawker songs for the celebration of saints. In the case of homiletic work, we summarize the original research so far, especially on the example of the texts of Karel Račín, Michal Pelišot, František Matouš Krum and the so-called Žďár sermons. We supplement the different phenomenon of the peddler's song in the analysis of the investigated phenomenon and evaluate the basic differences in the final comparison with the homiletic texts. |
